Initially introduced in a book-type form factor in 1980, the pale yellow tabletop version of the Lesson One unveiled the following year became the company's first globally successful electronic learning product. It sold out through the Sears catalog and surpassed 100,000 units sold.
Offering activities from math and spelling quizzes to music and word games, the Lesson One blended fun and learning in a way that captivated children.
